NYC’s Furniture Rentals & the Urban Backdrop

NYC has an urban feel for obvious reasons: It has these cool old warehouses all around Brooklyn, stunning lofts in Soho, outdoor spaces throughout the city with gritty walls covered in graffiti between old buildings, and, of course, the busy streets.

Weddings can present an interesting juxtaposition when held in these spaces. By working with the surroundings, they can look really beautiful and unique—a style that is hard to find elsewhere because it is very specific to New York City.

But this isn't true just for weddings. As the mecca of marketing, New York also hosts plenty of marketing events and brand activations and the designers of these activations love working with venues and event furniture rentals that capture the urban NYC vibe.

The line of furniture rentals we offer in New York City is designed to complement the spaces the city has to offer. Our pallet furniture can serve as seating at a wedding in a warehouse or outdoors, while our Meadow sofas, with their modern feel, can be a great solution for seating at an event in a loft or on a rooftop overlooking the city skyline. Our rental furniture is modular, allowing event planners to customize an outdoor or indoor lounge area by creating specific-sized lounges and defining the space. All of our furniture covers can be changed to different colors to fit a theme or event brand. This gives event planners the freedom to design events with their clients' direction in mind.

Examples of furniture rentals we’ve done for events in New York City, taking place in these interesting venues:

Wedding at an old fish warehouse:

For this wedding, we created a circular setup using our pallet furniture—pallet beds and pallet benches with cream seating cushions and accent pillows. The idea was to create a circle with the Chuppah at the center, where the ceremony would take place. We also built the stage for the Chuppah. The wedding took place at the old Agger fish building, a soot-black structure with corrugated metal walls, cloudy windows, and a giant, rusty hangar door. This building simply shouts, "I'm one cool location in Brooklyn," and its look will attract any couple looking to get married in an untraditional setting.

Block Party event in Brooklyn:

Marketing companies always look for unique places to host their events, such as brand activations, and New York has plenty of these spots. For the activation of the Avalanche House, experiential marketing company Mirror, chose an empty outdoor space situated between buildings with graffiti-filled walls for a 2- day block party full with live panel discussions, food, and music. They rented the multi-level pallet furniture configuration to be placed throughout the space and the wooden pallets, combined with the muraled wall, naturally created the urban feel.

NBA event at Nike HQ:

Not so much a loft but rather a large space in the middle of Manhattan, Game Seven Marketing used our Meadow sofas to create a forward-facing seating for this indoor event, celebrating the launch of Air Time by Nike. The clean lines of the Meadow sofa, with its natural wood, blended in with the basketball court, making it look like custom furniture rather than rental furniture.
